About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hadoop Cluster Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to work with cutting-edge big data infrastructure and technologies.

As a Senior Hadoop Cluster Specialist, you will be responsible for administering and managing multiple clusters supporting multi-tiered applications in the big data domain. Your expertise in Hadoop administration, particularly with Cloudera distribution, will enable you to provide production support for tier 1 applications and enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administering and managing multiple Hadoop clusters to ensure optimal performance and scalability
  • Providing production support for tier 1 applications and enterprise platforms using Hadoop ecosystem tools such as Spark, Hive, Impala, and Hue
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve service disruptions, implement configuration management processes, and deploy new features and products
About You

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in Hadoop administration, proficiency in Red Hat Linux administration, and experience managing and optimizing big data infrastructures. Excellent documentation skills and knowledge of configuration management and feature deployment processes are also essential.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Hadoop administration, particularly with Cloudera distribution
  • Proficiency in supporting Spark, Hive, Impala, and Hue within the Hadoop ecosystem
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux administration
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
