Tact Staff is currently seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Cardiac Stepdown for an exciting travel nursing opportunity.
Job Details- Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown

- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Employment Type: Travel
Compensation: Competitive local bill rate, with overtime applicable after 48 hours for specific contracts.
QualificationsApplicants must demonstrate a minimum of 1:5 patient ratio experience in the Work History section, specifically in Stepdown or Progressive Care Units. Note that ICU experience is not considered equivalent for this role.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience with EPIC system
- Successful completion of an online EKG tele competency assessment
- Current BLS and NIH certifications; ACLS preferred
- Ability to initiate IV therapy
- Must be fitted for N95 prior to working in high-risk units
Additional Considerations:
- Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed.
- Availability to work every other weekend and holiday is essential.
- Management reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low patient census.
The Advanced Care Unit typically manages patients with conditions such as heart failure, chest pain, and COPD exacerbations. RNs in this unit must be proficient in administering IV medications including heparin and nitroglycerin.
