Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Compliance Officer to join our team in Las Colinas, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products comply with all applicable laws and regulations, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to drive business growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Compliance Programs: Design and implement a comprehensive product regulatory compliance program that ensures Aborder's products meet all relevant laws, regulations, standards, and business requirements.
  • Regulatory Research and Analysis: Conduct research, review, and analyze federal, state, and local legislation and regulations, standards, and related business requirements pertinent to Aborder's business and practices.
  • Compliance Documentation and Submissions: Review and analyze regulatory compliance documentation and submissions to federal agencies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and external consultants, actively participating in industry forums and discussions.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations, providing recommendations to senior management to minimize compliance risks.
  • Compliance Training and Education: Create and implement compliance training programs aligned with company goals, ensuring all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Compliance Audits and Investigations: Act as the primary point of contact for compliance audits or investigations, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of any compliance issues.
  • Global Compliance Program Support: Participate in various projects in support of Aborder's global compliance program, working collaboratively with international teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • Regulatory Compliance Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations within the consumer products space, with the ability to anticipate legal compliance issues or risks.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: High degree of organization agility, professional ethics, and integrity, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Education and Experience: BA/BS in engineering or a technical science required, with 5-7 years of experience working in regulatory compliance or regulatory affairs for a consumer products company, or in a highly regulated industry. J.D. plus admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction preferred.
