We are seeking an exceptional Pediatric ER Nurse to join our team at Williamson Health. As a key member of our pediatric emergency department, you will provide specialized care to children facing acute illnesses or injuries. With your expertise and compassion, you will make a significant difference in the lives of our young patients and their families.
About the Role
This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong assessment skills, quick thinking, and excellent communication. You will work closely with our board-certified pediatric emergency room physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists to deliver family-centered care. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing immediate and specialized care to children in need
- Rapidly assessing patients to identify their needs and prioritize care
- Working well under pressure to implement lifesaving interventions
- Collaborating with the pediatric acute care team to coordinate transition of care for admitted patients
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- At least 1 year of pediatric emergency experience (preferably)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 6 months of hire
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
