Position Overview

A Home Health Aide (HHA) is required to assist our clients with daily living activities. This role involves providing personal care, companionship, and support in various tasks including lifting, dressing, bathing, grooming, and feeding. Additional responsibilities include accompanying clients to appointments, running errands, and engaging in social activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist elderly or recovering clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Remind clients to take their medications and support them with mobility.
  • Facilitate mobility within the home and during outings (doctor visits, walks, etc.).
  • Help with meal planning and preparation, as well as assist with physical therapy exercises.
  • Support clients with shopping needs or accompany them during shopping trips.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties and report any unusual occurrences.
  • Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Engage clients in essential daily living activities, including meal assistance.
Qualifications Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • At least 6 months of experience in home health care.
  • Current CPR certification is preferred.
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray is mandatory.
  • Background check is necessary.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Empathetic approach to client needs.
  • Professional demeanor towards clients, staff, and the public.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and security of medical information.
