Job Summary:

The Grosse Pointe Yacht Club is seeking a skilled Restaurant Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food for our members and their guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering, preparing sauces, meats, seafood, poultry, dairy, and other food items.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation and service.
Provide exceptional customer service, responding to member needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent in culinary arts or a related field.
Two or more years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a fine dining environment.
Ability to work scheduled hours, including holidays and weekends, and to lift 50 pounds.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
