Job Overview:
The EHR Epic Analyst will undertake critical functions as an Epic Application Coordinator/Analyst, focusing on the construction and support of various EpicCare Inpatient modules. This includes, but is not limited to, Clinical Documentation, Secure Chat & Rover, Clinical Case Management, Behavioral Health, and Long-Term Care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary support liaison for the designated Epic modules, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Engage in the development, design, configuration, scripting, testing, and support of applications tailored to the operational needs of clients.
- Utilize programming skills to devise solutions for everyday challenges, including the maintenance and enhancement of interconnected applications.
- Assess hardware and software requirements to optimize application performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues within the application, implementing effective resolutions.
- Facilitate workflow design, system testing, and address technical challenges associated with Epic software.
- Implement requested modifications to the system in alignment with user needs.
- Serve as a bridge between end-user workflow requirements and Epic implementation teams.
- Maintain ongoing communication with Epic representatives, participating in project team meetings.
- Gain insights into operational needs through site visits and collaborative sessions to guide workflow direction.
- Continuously review project statuses and issues with leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct weekly meetings with team members to discuss deliverables, shared challenges, user feedback, budget considerations, and upcoming milestones.
- Current Epic certification in EpicCare Inpatient - Clinical Documentation, Secure Chat & Rover, Clinical Case Management, Behavioral Health, and Long-Term Care.
- Experience in Epic implementation or operational support.
- Background in Health IT.
- Familiarity with Epic tools such as Clinical Case Management, Rover, MyChart Bedside, Behavioral Health, and Epic Monitor.
- Understanding of clinical workflows and their implications.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to clients effectively.
- Knowledge of clinical and regulatory requirements specific to behavioral health settings.
- Understanding of typical billing workflows.
- Proficient in application development and system integration.
- Thorough understanding of data management and system usage through testing and scenario development.
- Skilled in enterprise systems and best practices related to business operations.
- Familiarity with security protocols for utilized systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current system architecture for effective troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage project timelines, financial resources, and team activities to ensure successful outcomes.
- Experience across the entire development lifecycle, including specification, workflow analysis, and quality assurance.
- Capability to coordinate and direct application design and development processes.
- Experience in assessing user needs through discussions with stakeholders.
