Personal Service Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant

The Claiborne at Newnan Lakes is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Service Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant (PSA/CNA) to provide exceptional care and services to our residents with compassion, kindness, and respect.
This is an individual contributor role that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a healthcare or medical setting and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:- Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Assist with transferring, ambulation, and range of motion exercises
- Monitor and record residents' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff
- Assist with medication administration and documentation as directed by healthcare professionals
- Help to maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents, including regular housekeeping and laundry tasks
- Encourage participation in activities and social events to promote mental and emotional wellbeing
- Document and report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate supervisor
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Georgia
- Previous experience in a healthcare or medical setting preferred
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
