Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and perform treatments as directed by licensed physicians or registered nurses.
  • Participate in patient assessment, planning, and education to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Work with critically ill, adolescent, and geriatric patients, demonstrating an understanding of their functional and developmental needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to patient rights and privacy.
  • Meet or exceed customer service targets and provide exceptional care to patients and families.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing or psychiatric technology.
  • Current California license to practice vocational nursing or LPT.
  • Satisfactory completion of state-approved IV Therapy Course with IV certification (if LVN).
  • BLS and NIHSS Certification.
  • Minimum one year LVN/LPT experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric medication and patient rights.
