Job Overview

Insight Global is in search of a remote ETL Solutions Architect to collaborate with a federal government client, offering the flexibility to work entirely from home.

The ideal candidate will possess a consultative mindset, showcasing extensive expertise in ETL development. This role involves the regular loading of data into a comprehensive Compliance Data Warehouse.

Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficient in SQL development, data modeling, and database security.
- Familiarity with SAP Data Services is advantageous.
- Experience utilizing SQL tools effectively.
- Proven track record in conducting ETL processes on large XML, flat files, and database table data sources.
- Comfortable working in Unix and Linux environments.
- Understanding of tax and financial data is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Support the extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes for SAP/Sybase IQ databases, ensuring seamless data updates.
- Develop and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, and other programming logic for data management.
- Design and implement schema modifications, manage indexes, and adjust data objects to enhance performance.
- Create efficient data models based on logical designs derived from business requirements and usage patterns.
- Identify entity relationships, enforce referential integrity constraints, and establish primary key structures while analyzing trade-offs between alternative schemas.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including file specifications, schema designs, core record layouts, programs, business requirements, test plans, and other essential artifacts for database operations.
