At Enterprise Bank and Trust, we are seeking a skilled Paralegal to support our in-house legal department with various tasks, including legal process management, case management, attorney fee tracking, and legal research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and respond to legal process served upon the Bank, primarily garnishments, levies, and subpoenas.
  • Research bank systems to identify customers and accounts subject to attachment, applying appropriate legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Review subpoenas and other third-party requests for information and assist in overseeing the identification and collection of responsive materials.
  • Work with and coordinate the collection of materials from Bank repositories and systems needed for ongoing litigation and regulatory matters.
  • Perform legal research for matters assigned by the Bank's internal counsel.
Requirements:
  • High-level attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to meet deadlines, work independently, and coordinate matters among internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, confidentially, and with decorum due to the high-sensitive nature of certain matters.
  • Experience in banking or other financial services industry.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Three to five years' paralegal experience, preferably in the financial services, banking, or similar industry with experience managing and responding to legal process.
  • Experience with California law or Missouri law preferred.
  • Post-secondary degree or certificate in legal studies or comparable program.

Computer and Software Skills:

  • Proficient technical ability with word processing and spreadsheet applications, specifically Microsoft Word and/or Google Applications.
  • Experience with E-Discovery/review of electronic repositories for document requests.
  • Familiar with software and electronic applications routinely used in the banking and financial services industry.
