The National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient care. This role is pivotal in supporting military personnel dealing with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and psychological health challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a full spectrum of medical services as a Primary Care or Family Physician within an interdisciplinary team.
- Conduct initial medical evaluations and oversee treatment plans for patients with mild TBI and psychological health concerns.
- Collaborate with care teams to manage patient referrals and ensure continuity of care.
- Perform examinations, diagnose conditions, and prescribe appropriate treatments within the scope of practice.
- Provide preventive care, including annual health assessments and education on healthy lifestyle choices.
- Order necessary diagnostic tests and coordinate referrals to specialists as needed.
- Mentor and educate medical staff, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
- Act as a liaison for referral management, facilitating effective care allocation.
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited institution.
- Residency: Completion of a residency in Primary Care or Family Medicine.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of direct patient care experience in a clinical environment within the last five years.
- Licensure: Valid, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. jurisdiction.
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
