Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida JFK Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans of patients, utilizing your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients
  • Position patients and immobilization devices to ensure accurate scanning
  • Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and ensure optimal image quality
  • Communicate with patients and physicians to explain procedures and address concerns
  • Assist physicians with invasive procedures and provide support during scanning
  • Monitor and record patient data, utilizing computerized documentation systems
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff
  • Provide a safe environment for administering contrast material
  • Assist with transporting patients and maintaining a safe and clean environment
Requirements
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Florida State License in Radiologic Technology
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • ARRT certification in Radiology and CT, preferred
