Key Responsibilities

As an Interventional Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for operating medical imaging equipment and assisting in various imaging procedures, including angiography and cardiac catheterization. Your role will involve:

  • Exhibiting accountability and performing procedures with care and respect.
  • Preparing and positioning patients and equipment safely according to established protocols.
  • Executing technical radiographic procedures in line with standard operating procedures.
  • Assisting in the administration of contrast media as per departmental guidelines.
  • Obtaining high-quality radiographic images and ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Documenting relevant patient information prior to examinations, including medical history and consent.
  • Maintaining effective communication with patients and collaborating with healthcare colleagues.
  • Participating in rotating on-call assignments.

Qualifications Required

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
  • Associate Degree in a relevant field.
