As a Mental Health Care Specialist, you will support members of leadership through the implementation of systematic processes for all departmental goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine what Releases of Information are needed, and process them accordingly, per policy.
  • Aarrange disposition and community resources. Provide support to the Outcome Study, and other data, as assigned.
  • Maintains good communication with the Utilization Review, Business Office, and other staff as indicated.

Requirements:

  • 85% of work time is spent providing direct patient care including assessment, diagnosing, and direct treatment intervention.
  • The remaining work time is spent completing non-direct duties, i.e., clinical supervision and clinical documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with hospital staff, physicians, and administration.
