Role Responsibilities:
The Product Manager serves as the primary business lead and point of contact for products and designated end-use markets on a global scale. The successful individual will spearhead significant business initiatives across various functions to meet essential business objectives.
Key Duties Include:
1. Defining and executing the strategic direction for Kerry's Cell Nutrition division and its sub-product families.
2. Developing and overseeing product and service strategies while guiding business planning efforts for future positioning and expansion of the Cell Nutrition sector.
3. Managing the product lifecycle to ensure the Cell Nutrition portfolio aligns with the needs of current and prospective customers.
4. Acting as the business representative on new product development projects, roadmaps, and application data generation.
5. Collaborating with strategic marketing to conduct market research, identify trends, comprehend the competitive landscape, and gather customer requirements to facilitate and sustain growth.
6. Establishing robust relationships with the global commercial team to drive portfolio growth and identify opportunities.
7. Representing customer interests internally to enhance overall experience and implement necessary changes.
8. Leading operational improvement initiatives and discussions with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance, providing business insights on prioritization.
9. In partnership with marketing and global commercial team members, identifying and creating effective promotional and sales tools, leading product training sessions, and coordinating marketing communications to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Technical expertise in cell culture, microbial fermentation, reagents, and/or general bioprocessing applications.
- Familiarity with cGMP regulations.
- Global perspective with the ability to collaborate with teams across different cultures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the capability to develop and implement plans independently.
- Excellent management, project management, and planning abilities, comfortable making decisions and adapting to changes.
- Proficient in articulating and evaluating complex ideas and aligning teams around a recommended course of action.
- Experience in a matrix organizational structure.
- Ability to construct and analyze financial models to forecast and monitor results.
- Creative in distilling customer requirements, understanding competitive advantages and weaknesses, and developing compelling value propositions.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Business is required.
- A minimum of 5-10 years of technical experience in the healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical sectors is essential.
- Experience in sales or marketing is a plus.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional regional marketing and sales teams, with direct customer engagement.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
