Temporary RN Instructor Opportunity

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide instruction for the Nursing Assistant Program in a temporary capacity. This is a 30% FTE position, primarily based at 610 N. Whitney Way, with occasional travel to University Hospital for clinical coverage as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver didactic and clinical instruction and evaluation for the Nursing Assistant Program, adhering to WI Department of Health Services guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with program expectations and support program objectives and outcomes.
  • Perform student evaluation and utilize continuous quality improvement techniques to assess instruction effectiveness and student achievement.
  • Create a classroom environment that values diversity and promotes multiculturalism.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • One year of inpatient RN experience and one year of long-term care, Rehab, or LPN experience are required.
  • Three years of inpatient RN experience and teaching or didactic teaching experience are preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin is required upon hire.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Nurse Aide Program Primary Instructor certification in the State of WI is preferred.
