We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Griffin Industries. As a key member of our precision manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our vertical and horizontal machining equipment, ensuring the highest quality castings and tooling for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain vertical and horizontal machining equipment, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Train and mentor other employees on machining techniques and best practices.
- Collaborate with programmers to ensure new programs and machinery function properly and meet specifications.
- Perform quality control checks on finished parts, using instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
- Communicate with quality, engineering, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information and resolve issues.
- Strong knowledge of vertical and horizontal machining of castings.
- Familiarity with Fanuc and Siemens controls.
- Ability to mentor and teach others while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Stable work history and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift operation and certification experience a plus.
