Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at KPC Promise Hospital of AMARILLO. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the assessment of the health status of individuals and groups.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience

Job Description:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse functions as a key member of the healthcare team, working collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients' physical and emotional needs;
  • Developing and implementing individualized plans of care to meet patients' unique requirements;
  • Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring;
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes;
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient progress and communicating effectively with families and caregivers.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A current state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse;
  • Graduation from an accredited school of practical/vocational nursing recognized by the U.S. Department of Education;
  • Experience in medical/surgical settings, preferably with critical care experience;
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
