Position Summary

The Automotive Technician plays a critical role in our automotive service team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. This role involves hands-on learning, working under the guidance of experienced technicians, and contributing to routine inspections, vehicle assessments, and repair procedures. Automotive Technicians may also interact with customers to explain repair procedures, answer inquiries, and provide exceptional service. This role demands a combination of mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes and tire maintenance.
  • Inspect and diagnose issues with steering, suspension, and brake systems.
  • Install batteries and check electrical systems.
  • Perform tire maintenance and repairs.
  • Install parts and accessories.
  • Road test vehicles to ensure proper functioning.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and procedures.
  • Valid automobile driver's license at all times and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
  • Minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience, completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field, or demonstrated skills via third-party certificates/assessment.
  • A.S.E certification in at least one of A1-A8 is preferred.
  • Reading, writing, and math skills.
