Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Wichita Public Schools. Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in elementary students
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to address speech and language needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate speech and language services into the classroom
  • Provide direct and indirect services to students, including individual and group therapy sessions
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Stay current with best practices and research in speech and language therapy
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
  • Kansas licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working with elementary students and their families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment
Working Conditions

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a standard office and school building environment, with occasional travel between schools and central offices.
