Job Summary

As an Occupational Therapist at Advocate Health, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the patient's physical, perceptual, cognitive, social, and vocational abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate patient referrals and develop comprehensive treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
Implement individualized treatment plans using a variety of techniques and modalities, including assistive devices and splints.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Wisconsin.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

Working Conditions

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, and squat throughout the workday.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, and up to 10 pounds from waist to overhead.
Must be able to push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform a sliding transfer of 150 pounds with a second person present.
