Job Summary

The Medical Technologist is a vital member of our laboratory team, responsible for collecting and preparing specimens, performing laboratory procedures, and verifying, recording, and reporting lab results in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Extensive knowledge of human physiology and disease relevant to laboratory testing
  • Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, test analysis, reporting, and record-keeping
  • Perform authorized laboratory tests, evaluate results, and report/enter/verify test results in the Laboratory Information System
  • Identify and correct problems that may affect test performance or reporting of test results
  • Document corrective actions taken when systems deviate from established performance specifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a chemical/physical/biological or other life science, with relevant generalist clinical laboratory experience within the last five years
  • National Registration as an MLS(ASCP)cm, MT(ASCP), or equivalent, or registry-eligible at date of hire
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with staff, patients, patient families, and vendors
