Position Summary
The Automotive Lubrication Specialist is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of vehicles equipped with diesel engines. This role involves the meticulous lubrication of moving parts, checking fluid levels, and performing routine maintenance tasks. The position operates on a swing shift, typically commencing at noon.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, lubrication, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose malfunctions and communicate repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Inspect and operate vehicle equipment to identify defects.
- Dismantle and reassemble machinery using hand tools.
- Assess parts for wear and damage.
- Utilize maintenance software for work order creation and documentation of repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness in work and maintenance areas.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure operational efficiency.
- Perform DOT inspections and brake adjustments as required.
- Manage and execute the fluid analysis program.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Strong attendance and punctuality record.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Capability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various job tasks.
The physical demands of this position include:
- Ability to grip with a force of at least 75 lbs.
- Climbing in and around equipment.
- Lifting and carrying awkward parts and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Performing tasks that require flexibility and balance on uneven surfaces.
- Visual acuity to identify safety hazards and obstructions.
- Hearing ability to understand verbal safety instructions.
The work environment may involve exposure to various conditions, including wet or humid environments, moving mechanical parts, and varying weather conditions. The noise level can range from moderate to loud.
