Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services in an educational setting. The SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating various speech and language challenges faced by students. This role is crucial in developing tailored intervention strategies that foster improved communication skills and academic performance.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Create and execute personalized treatment plans that address individual student requirements.
- Deliver direct therapeutic services to assist students in overcoming speech and language barriers.
- Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and school personnel to promote students' educational and communicative objectives.
- Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy approaches as necessary.
- Engage in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and aid in formulating student goals and objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active California state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Experience in a school-based environment is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
