Responsibilities- Assess and admit patients, conducting thorough evaluations to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Round regularly to check on patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in critical care nursing.
- Nursing diploma (ADN, BSN, or MSN) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire (for Critical Care/IMCU).
- ONS/ONCC or Sentara-approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire (for Oncology Care).
- NRP within 6 months of hire (for Women's Care - Perinatal departments).
- PALS within 6 months of hire (for Inpatient Pediatrics).
