We are seeking a highly skilled Grant Writer to join our team at the National Marrow Donor Program. As a Grant Writer, you will play a crucial role in securing vital funding for our programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and write high-quality grant proposals and reports to secure funding from government entities and foundations.
- Conduct research to identify potential funding opportunities and develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather data and information for grant applications and reports.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects effectively, meeting deadlines consistently.
- Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in word processing software.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, healthcare, communications, or related field; or equivalent experience (4 years) may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Minimum of 3 years of development experience, including identifying, cultivating, and soliciting corporate/foundation prospects, along with at least three years of grant writing experience.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Availability for travel (2-3 day trips).
- Familiarity working with government entities to raise grant dollars preferred/ideal.
- Proficiency in Raiser's Edge or comparable development software.
- Familiarity with research techniques for fundraising prospect research.
