Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team at Soar Autism Center in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

About the Role

This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). As an integral member of our clinical team, you will work closely with families to develop individualized therapy plans, tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to enhance the communication abilities of children aged 2-6, utilizing various therapeutic techniques and instruments.
  • Collaborate extensively with our multidisciplinary team, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Provide education, resources, and support to families, empowering them to foster their child's speech and language development.
  • Regularly evaluate and document progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to optimize effectiveness.
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
  • A license to practice speech pathology in the state of Colorado.
  • Preference given to SLPs with 3+ years of experience, but we also welcome new SLPs starting their career.
  • Prior experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) or a willingness to learn from our clinical teams.
