Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Medical/Surgical team at Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a vital member of our patient care team, responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. As a CNA, you will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care and support.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with providing patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Work within the Professional Practice Model of Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
  • Provide support to visitors, patients, and staff in a professional and caring manner.
  • Participate in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience and completion of a nursing assistant course.
  • One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting beneficial or previous work experience in a post-acute care setting or nursing home beneficial.
  • Prior listing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry required with current registry recommended.
  • Knowledge of patient care standards and general office practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and courses in computer applications and medical terminology.
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Health Unit Coordinators, or training/education to meet job requirements beneficial.
  • Two years' experience as a Health Unit Coordinator beneficial.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
