Position Summary:
The Guest Room Specialist is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest accommodations. This role involves adhering to comprehensive cleaning protocols to ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitization of guest rooms on a consistent basis.
2. Remove waste and soiled linens from all areas, including public spaces and hallways.
3. Maintain cleanliness in hallways, public areas, and storage closets, ensuring they are tidy and vacuumed.
4. Restock cleaning carts with necessary supplies such as disinfectants, mops, and brooms.
5. Refill chemical containers as needed.
6. Ensure overall satisfaction regarding cleanliness in all rooms and common areas.
7. Report maintenance issues promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
8. Adhere to cleaning standards set by health authorities and the brand.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in hospitality or a related field.
Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently, as well as standing for the duration of the shift.
Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and team members in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
