Job Title: Cloud DBA

HonorVet Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Cloud DBA to join our team. As a Cloud DBA, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based database systems to ensure high performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud-based database systems using Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
  • Configure and manage Azure data management systems, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Fabric, and Microsoft Purview.
  • Optimize database performance, security, and scalability using performance-tuning techniques and database security best practices.
  • Support SQL Server components, including SSIS and SSRS, and maintain and troubleshoot ETL processes.
  • Perform SQL backups and disaster recovery, and perform database migrations and upgrades.
  • Work with Azure SQL technologies and optimize queries, indexes, and database configurations.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of hardware, database design, and implementation, and systems thinking to see how parts interact with the whole.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT data strategy and planning is aligned with the organization's business mission, strategy, and processes.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a DBA role with cloud implementation and administration experience.
  • Experience with database performance optimization techniques and proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, or other relational database management systems.
  • Setup, configuration, management, and optimization of Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices and experience implementing access controls, encryption, and auditing.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
