Machinist Supervisor

Job Summary

The Lead Machinist V is a key role within our team, responsible for overseeing the production of precision parts and tools using various types of machines. With 5+ years of experience running CNC machinery, proficiency in Mastercam, and a firm grasp of GD&T, this individual will ensure that all machining operations meet the highest quality standards and production deadlines.

As a seasoned machinist, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling the machining operations, ordering and managing inventory, reviewing samples and drawings, and troubleshooting issues with the machines or products. You will also oversee the operations of machine operators, provide guidance and training, and maintain and clean the machines and work area.

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual who can work well in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with others, and understand verbal and written instructions. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule machining operations to meet production deadlines and quality standards
• Order and manage inventory of raw materials and cutting tools
• Review samples, drawings, and instructions to understand specifications of output
• Select and set up appropriate tools, machines, and programs
• Operate and monitor machines, adjusting controls as needed
• Check and verify accuracy and quality of finished products
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues or problems with machines or products
• Maintain and clean machines and work area

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience running CNC machinery
• Proficient in Mastercam
• Firm grasp of GD&T
• Experience with Aerospace drawings, blueprints, and sketches
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
