At Connecticut Children's, we are seeking a highly skilled Billing Associate II to join our team in the Pediatric Division. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billing of patient accounts, as well as analyzing and resolving denied claims.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, with experience in analyzing and resolving complex claims issues. They will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Analyzing and resolving denied claims, including researching and reconciling outstanding accounts
  • Initiating appeals and refunds as necessary
  • Working with payers to resolve billing issues and ensure timely cash collections
  • Collaborating with the billing team to maintain accurate and up-to-date billing processes

Requirements:

  • 3 years of professional billing experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; higher level of education preferred
  • Certification in medical coding preferred
  • Basic knowledge of payer policies and claim billing
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
