**Key Responsibilities:**
* Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
* Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
* Assembles units by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
* Some experience with electrical wiring.
* Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
* Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
* Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
**Requirements:**
* Has developed competent skills through formal training or considerable work experience.
* Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.
**Work Environment:**
The position works in a production environment with moderate noise levels. Overtime is frequently required, especially during busy times.
**Physical Demands:**
* Wear safety attire and protective gear daily.
* Use hands and fingers to assemble units by fastening component parts, some that may have sharp metal edging.
* Regularly required to stand, stoop or bend, and occasionally reach above the shoulders.
* Frequently lift objects up to 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
* Vision abilities required, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
* May share workspace with others.
**Job Type:** Full-time
