This role provides a wonderful foundation for solidifying your RN skills that lead to many career opportunities at Southcoast. As an Oncology Nursing Specialist, you will work closely with our Center for Cancer Care to provide care for patients requiring chemotherapy or radiation therapy. The focus of Palliative Care is on achieving comfort, improving quality of life, and providing support for patients and their caregivers.

Key responsibilities include coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and dedicated nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent, with current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Experience in oncology and palliative care is preferred but not necessary.
