Electrocardiography Technician

Huntington Hospital is seeking a skilled Electrocardiography (EKG) Technician to join our team on a per diem basis. As an EKG Technician, you will play a vital role in facilitating patient care by performing 12-Lead EKGs for adult and pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform 12-Lead EKGs for adult and pediatric patients to facilitate patient care.
- Respond to Code Blues and Code AMIs, and assist with other non-invasive procedures as necessary.
- Coordinate patient requisitions with test copies to ensure proper department revenue tracking.
- High School Graduate
- Junior college course for EKG technician preferred
- Six months of experience in non-invasive cardiology preferred
- Demonstration of competency in performing EKGs as outlined by Competency Validation Checklist at 30 days
- Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Arrhythmia recognition skills preferred
This position requires flexibility of hours and is a per diem opportunity.
