Job Overview

AIMS Locum Tenens LLC is in search of a skilled Clinical Psychologist to deliver extensive psychological services. The role involves conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, and offering both individual and group therapy. The Clinical Psychologist will collaborate closely with patients undergoing medical and surgical treatments, providing essential rehabilitation support and engaging in various professional activities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Privileges: Deliver services in accordance with the clinical privileges assigned by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Director.
  • Contractual Duties: Execute responsibilities as outlined in the contractual agreement.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Psychological Assessments: Perform evaluations through clinical interviews, psychological assessments, and other relevant sources. Establish psychiatric diagnoses based on the American Psychiatric Association's guidelines.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide psychological care for individuals, groups, and families. Support patients dealing with medical or surgical conditions, offer rehabilitation assistance, and conduct therapy for substance use disorders.
  • Documentation: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records in both Mental Health and inpatient medical files. Generate necessary reports on evaluations and treatments.
  • Consultation: Collaborate with medical staff, legal entities, military leaders, and educational institutions as required.
  • Training and Engagement: Participate in meetings and professional development activities, including Quality Improvement sessions and other relevant gatherings as mandated by MTF policies. Engage in military-specific training related to evaluations, PTSD, and combat stress.
  • Ethical Standards: Adhere to the guidelines set forth by state licensing boards and the American Psychological Association's Ethical Principles.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from an APA-accredited institution.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience as a licensed clinical psychologist, meeting clinical competency standards as per service-specific credentialing guidelines.
  • Licensure: Must hold a current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in any U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills Required:
  • Expertise in conducting psychological evaluations and therapeutic interventions.
  • In-depth knowledge of psychological testing and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to maintain precise and detailed documentation.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Work Schedule:

Services are to be provided Monday through Friday for a 9-hour shift, inclusive of a 60-minute unpaid meal break. The Clinical Psychologist will not exceed 40 hours of service per week.
