Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Specialist to join our team at Catholic Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating exercise prescriptions for patients participating in our Cardiovascular Wellness program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients for their level of physical activity tolerance and identify common conditions limiting or influencing physical activity.
  • Develop individual exercise prescriptions based on a thorough assessment of physical activity tolerance.
  • Implement and evaluate the Plan of Care for improving physical activity levels for each patient.
  • Collaborate with the Cardiovascular Wellness staff to monitor patient progress and adjust the plan of care as needed.
  • Communicate and document the delivery of information and education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • BS in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Physical Therapy, Physical Education, or related field of study.
  • At least 6 months experience in clinical cardiac rehabilitation or equivalency thereof.
  • BLS certification.
