Position Overview:
As a Lead Piping Stress Analyst, you will play a crucial role in conducting piping analysis for both new and existing nuclear generation projects. This position involves collaboration with various engineering disciplines, including systems engineering, structural engineering, and piping design, to ensure the effective design of piping systems and their supporting structures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct reconciliation of pipe stress reports based on as-built conditions.
- Prepare detailed analytical reports assessing the reactions of piping systems on equipment and structural elements.
- Interpret and apply relevant code requirements effectively.
- Review proposed piping support systems, identify potential issues, and recommend viable, cost-effective solutions.
- Facilitate communication and exchange of engineering details with external stakeholders, including equipment suppliers and installation contractors.
- Manage project workload to meet deadlines and commitments.
- Consult with clients and other stakeholders on field-related issues, including follow-up reports and design modifications.
- Provide guidance and coordination to fellow engineers, project managers, and client personnel to ensure timely and comprehensive design delivery.
- Foster professional development through knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior engineers.

Work Environment:
This role operates on a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance three days a week.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering from an accredited program, with a focus on solid mechanics, structural analysis, and finite element analysis.
- A minimum of five years of experience in creating computer piping analysis models and interpreting results for compliance with industry codes.
- Proficiency in ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Section III piping codes is essential.
- Familiarity with the design and application of pipe supporting elements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is desirable.
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field from an accredited program.
- Experience with CAESAR II and/or AutoPIPE Pipe Stress Analysis software.
- Knowledge of ANSYS Workbench and Mechanical ADP is advantageous.
- Understanding of gas dynamics and hydraulic transients is a plus.
- Familiarity with pipe condition assessment is beneficial.
