Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Richmond Community Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing respiratory care to individuals with chronic respiratory problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate individuals to assess their respiratory condition and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide direct treatment for individuals with chronic respiratory problems, including nebulizer treatments, tracheotomy care, and pulmonary function tests.
  • Coordinate referrals to pulmonary clinics and implement recommendations from pulmonologists.
  • Develop and facilitate training programs for staff on respiratory interventions, preventive protocols, and equipment use.
  • Participate in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team process and provide feedback on individualized treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Certificate in respiratory therapy from an accredited school and a New York State license in respiratory therapy.
  • Current CPR Certificate and NYS infection control certificate.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and chronic respiratory problems preferred.
