Job Overview:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a dedicated individual to join our educational team as a Parenting Educator Adjunct Instructor. This role involves delivering essential instruction for the Virginia Court Mandated Parenting Education Seminar, conducted at various campuses. The ideal candidate will engage participants in a comprehensive 4-hour seminar utilizing a state-approved curriculum, ensuring a supportive and informative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate the Parenting Education Seminar across designated locations, adhering to established guidelines.
- Distribute and gather feedback through class evaluations to enhance the learning experience.
- Assign final grades upon course completion and fulfill additional responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Proven expertise or teaching experience in relevant fields such as family mediation, mental health, social work, counseling, or parenting education.
- Strong proficiency in using Internet applications and PC-based software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Background in child development, adult education, and issues related to divorce and separation.
- Willingness to participate in state-mandated training sessions.
- Ability to foster a positive academic atmosphere and effectively support students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with a varied audience of faculty, staff, and students.
