Pace Center for Girls: Counselor Position

We are seeking a skilled Counselor to join our team at the Pace Center for Girls. As a Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing prevention services to girls, including social emotional support, intensive care management, crisis counseling, and psycho-educational groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and address the needs and strengths of girls through holistic assessment, goal setting, and care planning
  • Provide bi-weekly counseling services to girls using guidance, support, collaboration, skill acquisition, and psycho-educational services
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote girls' resiliency and protective factors
  • Collaborate with the academic team to ensure holistic, cohesive care
  • Participate in care review meetings and provide education to the care planning team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum three years prior experience in counseling or a related field
  • Knowledge of case management practices and crisis intervention
  • Excellent individual, group, and family counseling skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Knowledge of laws relating to children and families
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and in a multidisciplinary team
