About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to provide inpatient psychiatric evaluations and treatment for severely emotionally disturbed and/or cognitively impaired adults who cannot be safely or adequately treated in the community. The treatment program is designed to eliminate symptoms and behaviors that make them a danger to themselves or others, or gravely disabled.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct treatment utilizing individual, family, group work, and psycho-educational treatment
- Develop and implement therapeutic interventions, including psychosocial therapies, individual, family, and group treatment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Conduct inpatient psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed
- Master's degree or higher in a counseling specialty
- LPC or LCSW preferred, but not required
- 1 year of experience preferably facilitating group counseling and crisis intervention
- Previous experience working with those experiencing major mental illnesses preferred
