Job Title: Nurse Coordinator

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Rockford Gastroenterology Associates. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in coordinating patient care, ensuring seamless interactions between patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient scheduling, including lab appointments and testing
  • Assist with patient referrals and coordinate transitions of care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure timely and accurate information exchange
  • Manage electronic health records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree)
  • Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • 1+ year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in gastroenterology or a related field
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities

Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience
