The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and communicating strategic direction for the investment banking team, as well as mentoring and leading team members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Initiating new client relationships with technology companies
  • Engaging in marketing activities with existing and new potential clients and managing deal pipeline
  • Leading all aspects of transaction life cycle: client sourcing, marketing, due diligence, negotiation, documentation, and closing
  • Developing and communicating strategic direction for the investment banking team under supervision
  • Searching for new advisory opportunities
  • Advising client management teams and Board of Directors on complex corporate finance and strategic issues
  • Evaluating financial statements & results, budgets, and forecasts in order to recommend appropriate strategic and other financing solutions to clients
  • Developing strong internal relations with various departments to maximize cross-selling strategies
  • Mentoring, leading, and developing team members
  • Performing other duties as required and assigned

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university; MBA, CFA, CPA or other advanced degrees/credentials desirable
  • 10+ years of experience within the Technology sector at a nationally recognized investment banking firm
  • FINRA Series 79 required
  • Excellent sales, lead generation, and negotiation skills
  • High proficient in corporate finance concepts and trends, particularly relating to financial institutions
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, ideally with understanding of valuation techniques; Must be highly proficient in financial statement analysis and financial modeling
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency
  • Strong leadership and management skills

Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the current hiring range is $250,000.
