Key Responsibilities:


The Registered Nurse is accountable for providing safe and effective patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves:

• Delivering direct patient care within the established scope of practice.

• Leading and guiding patient and family education, as well as supervising other nursing staff while upholding care standards in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.


Specific Duties of the RN in Med/Telemetry:


• Assessing patients' conditions, including vital signs and cardiac rhythms, to develop tailored care plans.

• Monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs through telemetry equipment for remote observation.

• Communicating with physicians regarding any changes in patients' clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic results.

• Administering prescribed medications, including intravenous treatments, and observing patients for adverse reactions.

• Providing hands-on care, including wound management, treatment administration, assistance with daily living activities, and emotional support.


Qualifications:

  • Valid and current state RN License.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintenance of certification.
  • Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Current ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintenance of certification.
  • Preferred experience in an Acute Care hospital setting.
  • Preferred experience in Ventilator Management.
  • Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
