Unlock Operational Efficiency with Epic OpTime and Anesthesia

The ideal candidate will be an expert in configuring, maintaining, and supporting the Epic OpTime and Anesthesia modules, ensuring seamless integration with ambulatory workflows to enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. This role requires strong analytical abilities, with a detail-oriented approach to designing and improving clinical workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Epic Module Configuration and Support: Configure, maintain, and support the Epic OpTime and Anesthesia modules to ensure efficient workflows, system stability, and alignment with ambulatory and surgical requirements.
  2. Clinical Partnership and Collaboration: Partner with clinical leaders and end-users to assess needs, gather requirements, and develop scalable solutions for ambulatory surgery and anesthesia workflows.
  3. Project Leadership and Implementation: Lead and contribute to project initiatives, such as new Epic functionality, version upgrades, system integrations, and ambulatory optimization efforts.
  4. System Changes and Updates: Plan, coordinate, and implement system changes and updates, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users and operational processes.
  5. Workflow Design and Enhancement: Work with clinical and operational teams to design and enhance workflows in ambulatory surgery centers and anesthesia departments, ensuring Epic is optimized for provider, nurse, and staff usage.
  6. Process Analysis and Improvement: Analyze current-state processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement best-practice workflows and system configurations.
  7. User Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to end-users, super users, and support staff on system enhancements, new features, and best practices.
  8. Tier-3 Support and Troubleshooting: Serve as a tier-3 support resource, troubleshooting complex issues and coordinating with Epic and IT teams for prompt resolution.
  9. Data-Driven Insights: Assist leadership with data-driven insights for decision-making and operational improvements.
  10. Integration and Liaison: Collaborate with other Epic analysts, application teams, and IT infrastructure specialists to ensure integration with related modules (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, Cadence).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Epic Experience: Current Epic OpTime and Anesthesia certifications required; EpicCare Ambulatory certification is a plus.
  • Certifications: Additional certifications in relevant Epic modules are advantageous.
  • Expertise: Expert-level experience in Epic, Epic Ambulatory, Epic Inpatient, Anesthesia, Clarity, Optime, Reporting Workbench.
