1 Months+ (Possible Extension)

Shift:
11am to 12AM - 12hours/day with possible Sat rotations

Job Functions:

Preoperative Assessment:
Evaluate patients' medical histories and perform physical assessments to ensure they are fit for surgery and understand the procedure. This involves reviewing patients' medical records, conducting physical examinations, and assessing their overall health status.

Surgical Assistance:
Provide direct support to the surgical team by handling instruments, managing sterile fields, and assisting with patient positioning. This requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Monitoring and Documentation:
Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and document surgical processes, including any intraoperative changes or complications. This involves using various medical equipment, such as ECG machines and ventilators, and accurately recording patient data in a timely manner.

Infection Control:
Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and protocols to prevent infections and ensure a sterile environment throughout the procedure. This includes following proper hand hygiene, using personal protective equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Emergency Response:
Quickly respond to any intraoperative emergencies or complications, coordinating with the surgical team to provide immediate care and interventions. This requires staying calm under pressure, thinking critically, and making sound decisions in high-stress situations.

Education:
An Associate's degree in nursing is required for this position.

Experience:
1-2 years of experience as a RN in OR is preferred.
