SportsCare Institute is seeking a part-time Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant to join our KidsCare team in West New York, NJ. The ideal candidate will have experience in sports-related injury rehabilitation and strong communication skills.
The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments for students referred for services, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide direct physical therapy services to students utilizing evidence-based interventions and therapeutic activities.
The successful candidate will have an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistance from an accredited program, state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant, CPR certification, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments for students referred for services
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Providing direct physical therapy services to students utilizing evidence-based interventions and therapeutic activities
- Monitoring progress and adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Maintaining accurate documentation and complying with regulations
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistance from an accredited program
- State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy principles
- Experience in sports-related injury rehabilitation is a plus
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
