Position Summary

As a Bartender, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding guest experiences at City Winery. Your responsibilities will include crafting and serving a variety of beverages, maximizing sales through guest education, and anticipating customer needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of bartending experience in a fast-paced environment or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong work ethic, teamwork, and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to consistently deliver high-quality guest experiences and exceed expectations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building positive relationships.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Knowledge of wine, craft beer, and spirits.
  • Professional presentation and ability to follow directions.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Fluency in English, including reading, writing, and basic mathematics.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Physical ability to perform the role, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Provide a positive guest experience by greeting and engaging with patrons.
  • Take orders, serve food and beverages, and manage transactions efficiently.
  • Prepare and serve drinks in accordance with City Winery standards.
  • Promote sales through upselling and participation in marketing initiatives.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, ensuring the bar area is well-maintained.
  • Assess guest preferences and provide tailored recommendations.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, particularly regarding alcohol service.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and inventory levels.
  • Stay informed about City Winery's brand, history, and programming.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of work areas.
  • Participate in training and meetings as required.
  • Follow all company policies and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Complete other assigned duties as necessary.
